Volbeat brings “Greatest of All Tours Worldwide” w/ Special Guests Halestorm and The Ghost Inside 8/6/25

Opening up the show was The Ghost Inside conisisting of members are Jonathan Vigil (vocals), Zach Johnson (guitar), Chris Davis (guitar), Jim Riley (bass), and Andrew Tkaczyk (drums). Jonathan addressing the crowd said they may come off loud, screamy, or angry but they love being up there and playing for us. They had heavy guitar riffs with a metalcore vibe. The crowd was jolted into an energetic set that set the tone for the night to come, high energy and good vibes

The Ghost Inside

Hailing from Pennsylvania, Halestorm consisting of Lzzy Hale lead vocalist, rhythm guitar, piano, Arejay Hale on Drums, percussion, backing vocals, Joe Hottinger on Lead guitar, backing vocals, Josh Smith on Bass guitar, backing vocals, keyboards. Halestorm blew into Charlotte leaving fans wanting more. They played a great mix of material from their catalog and a few songs off their newest album Everest that just dropped this week. I was lucky enough to make it to merch to pick up a copy of their tour variant only available at their live shows. I personally was delighted to hear them play one of my early favorites from the new release “Darkness always wins.” I can never say enough good things about this band live, they are a force to be reckoned with. If I could photograph them and see them play every night I would and this is coming from someone that has attended probably over 1000+ concerts in their life. Raw rock and roll with for those of us that like everything from ballads to those of us that like it Heavy.

Halestorm

Volbeat hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark has also beed around for a long time. I had not had the chance to see them play live in about 10 years. Last time they were the opener, now they are the headliner. They brought smooth vocals over top heavy loud guitars and pounding drums. You can tell they absolutely love playing live and the goats in Charlotte ate it up.  Michael Poulsen on lead vocals and rhythm guitar loved interacting with the crowd and seemed to be having the time of his life. The band. Drummer Jon Larsen would stand and crash down on the drums, I only wish I had a better angle to get more shots with the stage height and gear. Bass player Kaspar Boye Larsen and touring guitar player Fleming Clausen Lund switched back and forth all night entertaining both sides of the stage with tireless enthusiasm. I remember liking Volbeat last time I saw them but this time I will be keeping better tabs and not missing them if they come through my area again.
