Scott Stapp of Creed was astounding and triumphant with an absolutely magnificent stage production.

The Summer of ’99 Tour rolled into Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek on September 18, 2024, with Creed headlining a night that was all about reliving the peak of post-grunge rock. Creed, hailing from Tallahassee, Florida, closed the evening with a set that felt both nostalgic and triumphant. Scott Stapp‘s unmistakable voice soared through the Raleigh air, as Mark Tremonti‘s crushing guitar riffs on songs like “My Own Prison” and “Higher” reminded everyone why this band dominated rock radio in the late ’90s. With Brian Marshall on bass and Scott Phillips behind the drums, Creed delivered a powerful performance, electrifying the crowd with a mix of their classics from albums like Human Clayand Weathered. The tour’s first leg wraps on 9/30 in Bridgeport, CT and the second leg wraps on December 5th in Orlando. Don’t miss the exclusive merch! —vintage tees and vinyl pressing of their hits—available at Creed’s official website.
Right before Creed took the stage, 3 Doors Down cranked up the Southern rock energy. Hailing from Escatawpa, Mississippi, they delivered a heartfelt and intense set, opening with their iconic “Kryptonite” and following up with fan favorites like “When I’m Gone” and “Here Without You.” Lead vocalist Brad Arnold led the charge with a voice as commanding as ever, while Chris Henderson and Chet Roberts laid down thick guitar riffs. The rhythm section—Justin Biltonen on bass and Greg Upchurch on drums—kept the crowd bouncing through tracks from The Better Life and Away from the Sun. Fans who’ve followed the band’s journey since the late ’90s weren’t disappointed, and they lined up to grab exclusive tour gear at the merch booth, including limited edition vinyl and apparel. Opening the night was Finger Eleven from Ontario, Canada, bringing a burst of fresh energy with their new single, “Adrenaline.” Frontman Scott Anderson led the charge, with James Black on lead guitar, Rick Jackett on rhythm guitar, Sean Anderson on bass, and Steve Molella on drums. The band’s blend of hard rock and melodic hooks has always set them apart, and their performance highlighted hits like “Paralyzer” and “One Thing,” while “Adrenaline” gave the crowd a taste of their upcoming 2025 album, their first release with Better Noise Music. With over a billion career streams, Finger Eleven’s return to the stage is making serious waves, and their merch table was stocked with everything from exclusive vinyl of their new single to classic band tees.
