A fine night was had at The Ritz in Raleigh, NC with headliner Sammy Rae & The Friends supported by Erin and The Wildfire. A Pop/Rock kind of evening with both large bands brimming with tons & tons of talent. Refreshing.
Sammy Rae & The Friends shake it up for their fans.

Opener Erin Lunsford with her band The Wildfire seemed to just be getting better and better as their set continued. Perhaps because I finally yanked my earplugs after I finished photographing thier first three tunes and I could properly hear what they were doing… and what I was hearing was so good…excellent vocals too, my take away is to explore their discography much, much deeper. Well done!
From the very first moment when Sammy Rae & The Friends hit the stage, I got a sence we were in for a treat! Entering, each band member held a lit lantern, placing them around the “campsitesque” set design of their stage. Complete with a tent, cooler, and woodsy foliage, all was enhanced colorfully with careful lighting.
The stage was set, as they say, and the band took off like a hurricane in a mind field. Covering every corner, stage right, stage left and center there was action everywhere with Sammy Rae conducting a powerful performance thrilling her packed house of fans. She and her band “killed it!” Really really fun!
