Kicking off the 2024 concert season with the musically versatile Umphrey’s McGee at The Ritz in Raleigh,NC proved to be just what the doctor ordered to soothe the soul during these turbulent times.

Beyond a heavy mammal following, Umphrey’s has a significant crustacean fan base.

As an added benefit to Umphrey’s McGee’s wild amalgam of funk, metal, progressive rock, electronic, jazz, and folk we were inundated with a spectacular light show, impregnating the house with tantalizing beams of tinted photons.

It was good to see all the fans rocking back, drinking in the music and soaking up the light in the warm comfy club on this cold rainy night. A safe place, to be sure. A great night!
