Rod Wave | Ari Lennox | Toosii | Eelmatic  11/14/23

It looked sold out to me. All tiers filled to the brim at PNC Arena in Raleigh, NC for Rod Wave’s “Nostalgia Tour” with Ari Lennox, Toosii and Eelmatic, and more!

The fans were going absolutely nuts on November 14th. Covering hip hop shows like this is a total blast—there’s just nothing like the pure hysteria of the crowd. They’re not just attending a concert; they’re living it, screaming every lyric, waving their phones like torches, and losing themselves in the moment. You look around and you realize these people are having the best night of their lives. It’s electric.

What makes hip hop shows stand out—especially this one—is how the artists connect. It’s not just a performance; it’s a dialogue. Rod Wave and every artist on that stage knew exactly how to reach into the crowd’s soul and pull them in. The way they grabbed the energy, built it up, and released it in waves—pun intended—made it feel like a collective heartbeat. People were jumping, shouting, crying, laughing. You could feel the connection in your chest.

Rod Wave didn’t just headline—he owned the room. The man’s presence is massive, and he brings an incredible crew with him. His support artists weren’t just openers—they were showstoppers in their own right. Each one brought a unique flavor that complemented the night perfectly. The tour was—and without a doubt will continue to be—a massive success. You could feel that momentum. You just know.

One thing that really stood out? The atmosphere. For a crowd that size and energy, it felt surprisingly safe. Seriously—that night might’ve been the safest place on the planet. There were huge security guys everywhere, but they weren’t rough or rigid. They moved like quiet guardians, monitoring the energy, but always with calm and grace. It was professional, thoughtful, and honestly kind of beautiful to see. A well-oiled team making sure everyone could cut loose without fear.

All in all, it was one of those nights that reminds you why live music matters. It wasn’t just a show—it was an experience. And I was lucky to be there to witness it.
