As a teenager my music mind was tuned listening to Zappa, free form jazz and guitar heroes. Those particular neurotransmitters now usually lay dormant, not often firing as I wander from show to show exploring today’s popular music. But that old lightening began to sparkle once more when I heard Polyphia, and it felt so good hearing these fine musicians pushing themselves (and the audience), investigating to sense the barriers, looking for areas to leap out and break through to new sounds and phrasing in exotic dimensions and soundscapes.

This group consists of guitarists Tim Henson with Scott LePage, bassist Clay Gober, and drummer Clay Aeschliman.

Grammy Award winners for Best New Artist and winning the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album, Jazz duo DOMi (keyboards) & JD BECK (Drums) met in 2018 and have since worked with Thundercat, Anderson .Paak, Herbie Hancock, Eric Andre, Ariana Grande, Earl Sweatshirt, Bruno Mars and many more. They released their first single, “Smile”, and debut album, Not Tight, as a duo in 2022.
