The rain held at Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek in Raleigh as Tears for Fears and the Cold War Kids settled us into those things of rock nature.

Cold War Kids opened. Bass player and creative director of Cold War Kids Matt Mausts antics was fun to watch. As he moved oddly end to end across the stage, at first I wondered if there was a tech error he was responding to, but then I realized it was a performance of Dadaism. so I looked him up. He’s an artist. I believe my hypothesis was true.

As always, I was there for only the first three songs, as directed by management. But in those three, Tears for Fears smoothly rolled out a beautiful Rock-Saga. This was a Rock-Event.
