Rage Against The Machine and Run The Jewels rip through the PNC Arena in a sold out show in Raleigh, North Carolina.

We were in the pit photographing Rage Against The Machine. RATM gave us an extra song to shoot, four instead of the usual three allowed by most bands. When they finished, the photographer next to me turned around, looked at me and was shaking. The band had blown all the skin off our foreheads. We stood there just stunned. But we had to get out of the pit somehow before security did it for us.

Some bands you forget on the way home. Some bands serenade your love handles. Maybe two or three will start your hair on fire. But rarely, well actually just this once, a band absolutely cooked my noodles and fed them to the squirrels. That band was Rage Against The Machine. I’m a freakin convert.

Ya gotta love Run The Jewels. They opened the night and lit us up, got us ready. And you know what? They actually thanked the photographers when we had to go. Amazing. A band never thanked us before…me anyway. It made me work harder, …making ‘em look pretty and all. Thanks guys.
