It just can not go unmentioned that this is is the first tour for ZZ Top since the death of founding member, song writer, bassist and vocalist Dusty Hill, .

Elwood Francis, a venerable guitar tech and musician helping Billy Gibbons as well as many other famed guitarists with their instruments has, at least temporarily, replaced Dusty Hill on this present tour. 

It was great getting my first chance in a couple of years, due to the pandemic, to cover a band at the beautiful DPAC in Durham. And a bigger thrill still, to have the chance to cover ZZ Top.
