All Time Low | nothing, nowhere. | Meet Me @ The Alter  10/16/2021

Meet Me @ The Alter is a hard act to follow. They have spectacular energy, and use musical tricks like melody. It’ll be fun to watch them make their way up the charts. Touring will build them a fan base. If you get a chance, don’t miss ‘em.

MM@TA had good light too, essential as otherwise a photographer would have a rough time catching the action. I was using a shutter speed of 1/500.  Sadly, when nothing, nowhere got up on stage, the lights were turned way down so I had to twist the ISO way up and lower the shutter speed to try to catch something at the expense of getting lot of noise in the images..thus, everything goes black and white to make things appear like they were shot in the 70s.

Although All Time Low had better light up front, I followed suit with the black and white as I’m starting to see that approach as a way to enhance a human form against a busy stage. I think us humans are hard wired to pick out a beast from a tangle of foliage. It does seem to work with this kind of situation.
