Last night, Dead & Company kicked off their summer tour in Raleigh marking the first of their 31 show run that will go on until Halloween.

Bobby Weir, Dead & Company, John Mayer, Bill Kreutzmann, Mickey Hart, Oteil Burbridge, and Jeff Chimenti played the Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek, Raleigh, NC August 16, 2021.

This was the first show I’ve covered that has required vaccinations, or proof of testing. It took a little longer for folks to check through, but the show started around 7:45 so the wait was not intolerable. 

Everyone was pretty chill. Loys of tie-dye. The weather was working with us and we got through without getting soaked. Lucky indeed!
