I was denied credentials to photograph Dave Matthews the year before last, but I tried again this year. Quite to my surprise, I did get through this time. 

Photographers were only given two songs to shoot, and to boot, we were shooting inside the barrier that was filled with fans that must have opted for the VIP Meet & Greet ticket. So we were up close, but had to shoot elbow to elbow with about a hundred other folks sipping their drinks.

Dave Matthews is really a charmer. A likable fellow, I must say. I mean, “He gave me one”, smiled for my lens, and I always walk away from an instance like this thinking that the celeb in question must be a god, an angel, an intellectual, a scholar and gentleman. Thank you Mr. Matthews.
